Before that, I reported on the New York City area, including assignments covering transit and local politics. In 2023, I was one of the reporters who uncovered many of the lies and exaggerations of former Representative George Santos of New York. I have also written about mayoral, governor and congressional elections in New York, and I contributed to The Times’s coverage of the 2016 and 2020 elections.

I strive for rigorous, fair reporting, and I aim to reflect perspectives from across the political spectrum in order to fairly and accurately represent the issues and people I cover.
